There is no shortage of teeth whitening products available in grocery stores and pharmacies. More than likely, you have probably tried whitening toothpaste, white strips, or whitening rinses and have been disappointed by lackluster or non-existent results. How Zoom Whitening Works
Zoom whitening is a brand name, clinical whitening system that effectively lifts permanent tooth stains through a use of prescription whitening solution and a laser. The Zoom system can safely penetrate the enamel surface of teeth to bleach dark stains without causing permanent tooth sensitivity or irritation to soft oral tissue.
Patients with extrinsic tooth stains due to years of exposure to dark foods and drinks and those who have smoked can enjoy a smile that is roughly eight to ten shades lighter than it was before treatment. To measure the effectiveness of treatment, our team will utilize shade indicators before and after the procedure.
What to Expect During Treatment
Teeth whitening is not an invasive procedure and only takes about an hour. First, our team will place an oral appliance in the mouth to hold it open. Then, a protective gauze will be placed over soft tissues such as the gums and linings of cheeks. You will also wear protective goggles over your eyes. Once all the precautionary and protective measures have been taken, the Zoom whitening solution will be applied to the teeth and a dental laser will hover over the mouth to deepen the teeth whitening process. Every 15 minutes or so, we will reapply the bleaching solution since it dries up. After 45 minutes to an hour, we will remove all the protective gear and you will leave our office with a bright, white smile.
